MarShield Lead Plywood
Our Lead-lined plywood stands as a strategic solution, featuring a lamination of sheet lead meticulously crafted to cover essential surfaces and walls in spaces demanding radiation shielding. This specialized product serves a multitude of purposes, proving invaluable in both new construction projects and upgrades/renovations where enhanced shielding is required.
Designed with precision, our Lead-lined plywood is particularly well-suited for applications in medical facilities, such as P.E.T and other diagnostic imaging rooms. It serves as a robust barrier, ensuring the containment of radiation within the designated areas. This not only safeguards the well-being of medical professionals and patients but also meets the stringent standards set for radiation protection in healthcare environments.
The versatility of our Lead-lined plywood extends beyond its core applications, offering a reliable solution for diverse settings requiring meticulous radiation control. Its integration into construction projects exemplifies a commitment to safety, making it an indispensable choice for those prioritizing both structural integrity and radiation protection.
- Stringent Compliance Standards: Our lead-lined plywood is crafted to meet or exceed Federal Specifications QQ-L-201F, Grade C, and ASTM B-749-03 Standard Specification for lead and lead alloy strip, sheet, and plate products. This commitment to industry standards ensures the highest quality and performance.
- Fire-Retardant Properties: The plywood is engineered to be fire-retardant, adhering to AWPA C27 type A specifications. This feature enhances safety and makes it suitable for applications where fire resistance is essential.
- Premium Lead Sheet Composition: The lead sheet used in our product is composed of 99.9% pure, or better, un-pierced virgin lead. It is meticulously selected to be free of dross, oxide inclusions, scale, laminations, blisters, and cracks, ensuring a pristine and reliable shielding solution.
- Factory Lamination: The lead sheet is expertly laminated to the plywood panels in a controlled factory environment. This ensures uniformity and precision in the lamination process, guaranteeing a consistent and reliable product.
- Versatile Thickness Options: Available in thicknesses ranging from 5/8” to 3/4”, our lead-lined plywood offers flexibility to accommodate various project requirements. The lead thickness ranges from 1/16” (minimum) to 1/2” (maximum), providing options for tailored solutions based on shielding needs.
