Preformed gypsum is Gypsum Board in Standard, Fire Rated or other gypsum materials used to create simple or complex forms called profiles, to be applied in interior wall and ceiling finishes. Because preformed profiles are gypsum, they are always compatible with standard gypsum boards.
Machine processes mean precise angles and measurements with prefect straight lengths. Precise details and small profiles are available that can not be achieved through conventional methods because material challenges, framing limitations, and inconsistent workmanship will not allow.
Panel-FXTM gypsum boards with Prefinished edges have been developed to address the fast-paced nature of construction projects and increasing requirements for precise and calculated design. Innovation is a long time coming in interior wall and ceiling finishes; for many years drywall subtrades have relied on hand finishing for gypsum applications, but now contractors will benefit from reduced installation time and increased productivity because Panel-FXTM machine precise panels do not require corner bead, they require less mudding and taping and therefore contractors will see a reduction of drying time, all while offering a more precise finished product.
EDGE-FX™ uses our preform factory process to create profiles for applications such as lighting coves, valances, bulkheads, and more completely free of corner bead. Each factory precise corner is instead created using a mitring process which leaves the paper finish intact. EDGE-FX™ profiles ban be shipped assembled, or flat packed (depending on site conditions).
Curved details or features can be stunning additions to a project’s design. Glass Reinforced Gypsum (previously known as GFRG or Glass fiber reinforced Gypsum) is a replacement material for traditional plaster applications. Light weight and easier to install than plaster finishes GRG can be molded into complex shapes for use in interior ceiling details, such as domes, coffers, archways, column wraps, and other complex or curved design details.
